Mauricio Pochettino sends Manchester Utd warning ahead of Premier League clash
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has sent a warning the way of Manchester United ahead of his side's midweek clash at Old Trafford.
The Blues successfully saw off Brighton and Hove Albion 3-2 in the Premier League on Sunday, despite playing all of the second half with 10 men after Conor Gallagher was dismissed. Chelsea haven't beaten United since 2020 and will be looking to avenge their 4-1 defeat at the Theatre of Dreams last season.
Erik ten Hag's will also be desperate to put on a show after their dismal 1-0 defeat against Newcastle United on Saturday evening, as Anthony Gordon's second-half strike condemned the Red Devils to a sixth Premier League defeat of the season so far.

Chelsea have seen something of an overhaul over the last 18 months, with some 24 players having left either on a permanent or loan deal. They also brought in a further 13 new faces, with Pochettino's ideology now beginning to come to fruition, serving as a reminder of what could come for United later this week.
“I am so proud of the players and the character that they showed. I told them at half-time, ‘it’s 2-1 to us, it’s a great opportunity for us – now we need to show that we are a team,'" he said on Sunday.
“It’s not only about building the way that you want to play, your philosophy on the pitch. Before that, you need to belong to the team, you need to belong to the club, to settle yourself.
“You need to grow, need to get experience. Too many things before you can talk about playing from the back, or play with three or four offensive players, or with three or five at the back. That comes in after.”
