Matt O'Riley poser leaves Luke Littler red faced as Celtic star draws an awkward blank from darts superstar

Darts sensation Luke Littler was left puzzled when he was quizzed on Celtic hero Matt O'Riley for a football trivia quiz - and Michael Smith didn't fare any better.

O'Riley is once again being lined up for a move to Atletico Madrid who are reportedly ready to sell midfielder Saul in order to fund a deal - with Celtic holding out for a club record fee to let their key playmaker go. But despite his stunning form, not everyone is feeling the love. He was left out of Kasper Hjulmand's squad for Euro 2024 - where he might have faced England had he been called upon for his first ever major tournament.

And that's how the worlds of Scottish football and elite level darts briefly collided. It's Euros season and Premier League Darts champion Littler and world No.3 Smith briefly crossed over into the world of football for some social media fun. They were quizzed by SportBible on the nationalities of various footballers, and tasked with throwing a dart at a map of Europe - earning a point if they hit the country a given player comes from.

Despite O'Riley's omission from the Danish squad, he was one of the players named - and neither darts superstar had a clue. The presenter read his name out as a picture of O'Riley in a Denmark shirt appeared on screen. And a clueless Smith quickly exited the conversation as he said: "That's not me, crack on mate."

A puzzled Littler then said: "Matt O'Riley...do you know who he is?" before Smith replied "No!" The chuckling presenter then gave them a clue, revealing he plays for Celtic, and has been "on flames recently. Littler then thought he had it: "I'm thinking Ireland, because of the O." But he missed with his effort, and Smith then stepped up: "O'Riley... he has to be Irish or Welsh," before
