Matt O'Riley knew Celtic were going to give Premiership rival a 'real doing' as he toasts Aberdeen romp

But Matt O’Riley insists nobody should be surprised by the resounding response to the Hoops’ Champions League mauling in Madrid as they annihilated Aberdeen to strengthen their grip on top spot in the Premiership.

The midfield maestro says it was only a matter of time before Brendan Rodgers’ side dished out a “real doing”. More than that, O’Riley reckons the 100-minute supershow proves the champions have lost none of the never stop mantra that has seen them romp to back-to-back titles.

“We tire teams out, the way we play. And I think when you are three-nil down at Celtic Park and you have been running for 90 minutes and haven’t had much of the ball, naturally you are going to be tired.
