Mathias Kvistgaarden in direct Celtic transfer address as star pressed on interest in revealing Danish interview

Mathias Kvistgaarden has directly addressed interest from Celtic for the first time - as he fielded six pressing questions about his January links with the Hoops.

And while he admits he couldn't steer clear of the constant swirls about a move to Parkhead, he's keeping his eyes firmly on the Brondby prize...at least until the summer. Kvistgaarden has been one of a number of strikers on Brendan Rodgers' agenda since his return to the club and it's believed a bid of £4m was booted out in the summer.

Celtic landed Adam Idah instead but Kvistgaarden has eight goals and seven assists this season and may be on the agenda again come the summer.

He has been one of the most impressive players in the Danish Superliga and he admits it's a 'dream' of his to move abroad one day. In a revealing interview with Tipsbladet in his homeland, he was pressed over interest from Celtic, but was at pains not to commit.

You can read the full transcript of the Danish language exchange below.

How was it to read these things?

"I didn't read the articles. They just popped up when I scrolled through social media. So I couldn't avoid seeing that occasionally there was a picture of me, and then
