Matheus Cunha 'offer' made as Man United handed Liam Delap transfer stance
Manchester United have sealed a place in the Europa League final with a 4-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao at Old Trafford.
Casemiro, Rasmus Hojlund, and a second-half brace from Mason Mount sealed a 7-1 aggregate victory for United. It will be an all English final with Tottenham coming away 2-0 winners against Bodo/Glimt in Norway (5-1 on aggregate).
The final will take place in Bilbao on May 21, as Ruben Amorim's side aim to claim their first piece of silverware since 2017, when they last won the Europa League under Jose Mourinho.
Off the pitch, MEN Sport rounds up the latest headlines from Old Trafford and beyond.
Matheus Cunha 'offer'
United continue to work behind the scenes to secure an agreement with Wolves for Matheus Cunha. The Athletic's David Ornstein claims that an offer has been made but an agreement is yet to be struck between parties.
In addition, discussions are continuing to take place though not a great deal can happen before the season ends. With that said, it's thought the Reds will look to get personal terms in place in the meantime.
MEN Sport says: "It’s encouraging to see Manchester United making a strong push to secure a deal for the Brazilian, as it highlights their intent to improve their prospects for next season. The move reflects a proactive effort to address a key weakness - attacking depth and consistency - which has been a recurring issue this campaign. Cunha is expected to play a key role under Amorim.
"His Premier League experience adds further value, and at 25, he fits a growing trend in United’s transfer strategy: targeting younger, proven players with potential to develop, rather than relying on big-name signings that may not align with the team’s system."
