Mason Greenwood has addressed Manchester United future as new transfer option emerges

The future of Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood remains uncertain as he enjoys a positive run for La Liga side Getafe.

The 22-year-old has five goals and four assists in 19 matches in Spain's top-flight. He joined the Madrid-based club during the summer transfer window after being exiled by United following an investigation by the police and internally in January 2022.

Greenwood faced accusations of rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour, but the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the case after a lengthy investigation that concluded last year.

With less than 18 months remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, the United academy product will likely leave Erik ten Hag's side. It remains to be seen where his next destination will be, but he has enjoyed his start to life in Spain, and reports suggest that he could be attracting interest.

Here is a round-up of the latest news.

Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid emerged as a possible transfer destination for Mason Greenwood.

The Spanish side missed out on a move for Juventus and former Everton striker Moise Kean after the deal fell through. According to The Telegraph, the Argentine tactician is looking to bolster his strike options, and the one-time England international is said to have attracted attention.

It has been claimed that Greenwood has "impressed other Spanish teams" with his performances this season. The 22-year-old featured during their dramatic 3-3 draw with Atletico earlier this season.
