Martin Lewis' MSE team shares crucial update for Google shoppers this Black Friday

Black Friday shoppers on the hunt to get the cheapest deal this sale season are being urged to scour online sites before heading to the first discounted checkout they see. It comes as Martin Lewis' consumer team at Money Saving Experts shares

The MSE team shared a crucial warning to shoppers, as it stated on their site: "Don't allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don't need or can't afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it."

And it's the price comparisons between online retailers which show how some consumers could be caught up in paying more than what they need this Black Friday, with some stores selling the exact same product for more money. It was the MSE team's round-up of Google tech devices which highlighted the price disparities.

It starts off small, with a 99p difference for those who shop for the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) who would pay £39 at Amazon compared to the £39.99 price at Google. Also on the list is the Nest Doorbell, which Screwfix shoppers would pay £1 less for compared to Google's price.

The MSE team also found a host of price-matched items for Google shoppers including the Pixel Buds Pro price match at Currys, and John Lewis which is selling the Pixel Watch WiFi for the same price as the Google Store. Looking at other brands Amazon proves cheaper once again with its £1 price difference on the Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine, compared to the Nespresso brand's own price.
