Martin Lewis’ money-saving co-star Angellica Bell swears by £2.70 Boots budget beauty product

If there’s anyone who knows how to save a few quid when it comes to cosmetics, it’s The Martin Lewis Money Show co-presenter, Angellica Bell. And now, the TV personality has revealed some of her favourite affordable beauty products - and they’re all under £4.

The 47-year-old is a Boots Value Ambassador and has been heaping praise on some of the health and beauty retailer’s budget beauty buys, including a mascara that costs just £2.70.

It comes as the high street store recently announced changes to the Advantage Card scheme, which will now see shoppers save 10 per cent on select Boots own brand products.

In an interview with The Mirror, Angellica said shoppers shouldn’t be afraid of trying lower-cost products - as you could be pleasantly surprised. She’s swapped out her mascara for 17.’s Extreme Extension Lengthening Mascara, which is only £4, or £2.70 if you have an Advantage Card.

She said: “Don’t be afraid to try own brand products, I think that’s really important. Be savvy and keep an eye out. Boots always has deals on big named brands too - like Fenty, MAC Cosmetics, Drunk Elephant, Anastasia Beverly Hills as you know. Also if you’re going to buy a blusher, that could double up as an eye shadow.

“Also 17.’s Extreme Extension Lengthening Mascara. Let’s just talk about that mascara! Sometimes it’s worth trying new brands out and giving them a go because you might be pleasantly surprised.”

The own-brand mascara was launched in 2022 after the previously discontinued brand made a triumphant comeback. It’s said to give your lashes definition and extreme length with an ecofiber formula, all for the price of a takeaway coffee.
