Nintendo confirmed during the first Nintendo Direct of 2022 that Mario Strikers Battle League would be released on Friday 10th June 2022 for Nintendo Switch.

The company wrote the following on their official Twitter account regarding the release: “Lace up your cleats & prepare to bring the heat in #MarioStrikers: Battle League!

“Fierce special shots, items, & tackles means there are no rules except to rule the field! Mario Strikers: Battle League arrives on #NintendoSwitch 6/10.”

Mario Strikers Battle League is being developed in-house by Nintendo themselves, with players having waited some time for the next iteration of the game to be released on console.

The other two games in the franchise, one for the Gamecube and the second for the Nintendo Wii were big hits amongst players, so the company will be hoping to replicate that with Battle League.

As noted, Mario Strikers Battle League is essentially a football game, but with a unique twist.
