Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster: Release Date, Platforms and Everything You Need to Know
Following the success of the previous pixel remasters of Final Fantasy games from the 16-bit era, Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster would also be released.
The sixth mainline game in the series is heralded by many as the best of the 16-bit era, with the title being the last to appear on consoles ahead of the global phenomenon that is Final Fantasy 7.
We now appear to have more information on the Pixel Remaster for the game, and fans of the franchise will be quite excited to know that they will be able to get their hands on it quite soon!

Although the game was originally expected to be released in 2021, Square Enix revealed back in December 2021 that the game would be delayed until February 2022.
They noted: “Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster launches in February 2022.
“In order to bring you the best experience possible, we’re allowing the necessary time to apply final polish while finishing development of the game.
“We will be adding new items for those that pre-purchase the game individually, or have purchased the Pixel Remaster Bundle on Steam.
“We’re looking forward to sharing the final title in our Pixel Remaster series with you all early next year and we hope you’re looking forward to it.”
The company official confirmed on Wednesday February 9th that Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster would be launching on Wednesday February 23rd.
