Disney Speedstorm: Release Date, Characters, Racing, Platforms and Everything You Need to Know

Disney Speedstorm is a new free-to-play title set to be released on consoles at some point in 2022.

Karting type games have been extremely successful for Nintendo consoles over the past couple of decades, and Disney Speedstorm appears to be following in the footsteps of Mario Kart.

With the free-to-play element of the title, it is likely that Speedstorm will also be rivalling the likes of Rocket League down the line for player retention.

Here’s everything you need to know about Disney Speedstorm, including the characters in the game, the racing elements, which platforms it will be appearing on and more.

Disney Speedstorm was confirmed during the first Nintendo Direct event of 2022, with the official Twitter account for the new game also noting the following:

“The hero-based battle racing game, set on high-speed circuits inspired by @Disney & @Pixar worlds, is releasing this year on PC & consoles!

As confirmed on the first Nintendo Direct of 2022, Disney Speedstorm is set to be released in the summer of 2022.

Each of these characters in the game will have their own ultimate skills, which will change how players approach each race.

It was revealed during the Nintendo Direct stream that these skills will be “perfect at turning the tables at the last second,” much like the powerups and blue shells in Mario Kart.
