Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope release date leaked

The new Mario + Rabbids game is titled Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope and is set to release on October 20th, 2022, according to a new leak.

The game’s release date was updated on Ubisoft’s digital storefront, although it was swiftly taken down.

Still, Twitter user Nibellion had the time to take a screenshot, and that also shows off that the game is set to have a Gold edition along with what is likely to be a standard edition.

As per Gamespot, that game will come with a season pass that gives players access to future characters, quests, and battles, and a Galactic Prestige pack, which is a kit filled with cosmetics that include weapons and character skins.

That reveal comes before Nintendo Direct, which is set to show off some third-party Switch games on Tuesday.

We’re likely to see a fair bit more of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope at the showcase, then, potentially with a trailer and an official confirmation of the release date.

Sparks of Hope is set to be a turn-based strategy game, as the biggest and brightest characters from Mario’s universe team up with the Rabbids. Players can choose from characters such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Luigi and Rabbid Mario among others.

The first game was titled Kingdom Battle and released in 2017, receiving an 85 score on Metacritic and a user score of 8.3 from 1,230 ratings.

As a result, there are high hopes for Sparks of Hope, which is likely to be a highly-anticipated sequel that is set to release later this year.
