Marijn Beuker 'closes in' on Ajax switch as Queen's Park director of football set to ditch 10-year contract

Marijn Beuker is set to leave Queen's Park and take up a similar role at Eredivisie giants Ajax, it's been claimed.

The Spiders are fighting for survival in the Scottish Championship after falling short in the Premiership promotion play-offs last season. Beuker joined them in 2021 as ambitious plans for the future were put in place by the Spiders, who have risen to the second tier after turning professional.

Formerly AZ Alkmaar's youth development guru, it was viewed as a major coup when Queen's Park landed him on a 10-YEAR deal. But he is poised to leave that contract just over two years into the project, as Sky Sports claim Ajax are "closing in" on the director of football. He will take up a "similar" role in Amsterdam as they hunt for stability following an awful start to the season. Beuker is expected to move back to Holland in the New Year.
