Marcus Rashford Man United transfer stance as Juventus and Barcelona plan emerges

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is 'open' to joining Juventus on loan this month. The 27-year-old has dominated transfer talk throughout January after signalling his desire to leave United in December.

After he was left out of the squad to face Manchester City, Rashford told journalist Henry Winter that he was 'ready for a new challenge and the next steps', hinting at a move away from Old Trafford. The England international has since not played a single minute of first-team football for Ruben Amorim's side.

He was not part of the 23-man United contingent to face Rangers on Thursday and that has increased speculation that is going to be on the move before the February 3 deadline. And now, according to The Independent, it has been reported Juventus are the only club seen as potentially completing a loan deal this January.

It's added that Rashford 'would be open to that', as he waits for his first-choice destination: Barcelona. The United forward is eyeing up a permanent summer move to the Catalan side and is willing to play his football for the rest of the season with Thiago Motta's Juventus, who are unbeaten in Serie A so far this term.

However, despite not losing a single league game, Juventus sit down in fifth having won just eight and drawn 13 of their 21 fixtures. They remain in the Champions League and have put themselves in a strong position to progress to the last 16 of Europe's club competition. The Old Lady are also still in the Coppa Italia.
