Marcus Rashford gives honest response to criticism about Manchester United's away results

Marcus Rashford thinks Manchester United 'must find a way' to improve their results away from Old Trafford this season.

United have taken just a single point against Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool - who are their 'Big Six' rivals in the Premier League - away from home this term and they have conceded 17 goals in those matches.

The Reds' performances on the road have not reflected their strong Old Trafford form and the weekend's 2-0 defeat against Newcastle at St. James' Park, a game in which the North East side dominated, highlighted the problem again.

An unhappy Erik ten Hag wanted his players to respond to that disappointing defeat against Newcastle and, just three days later, the team secured an important three points with a 1-0 win against Brentford at Old Trafford.

Rashford scored the only goal in that scrappy win and he discussed the need for the team to improve their away results.

"We created some decent chances against a team that is quite difficult to break down," Rashford told MUTV. "They've shown that, I think that's their first loss in 15 or 16 games. I think in the first half, we were solid and created chances.

"Then obviously, when you get the goal, it does start to open up a bit more and we had some better chances. There's always a nice atmosphere in the dressing room after a 1-0 win because it means we've defended well throughout the game.

"After the last game, that's what we needed, to keep a clean sheet. We've been good at home this season. There have been some away games when we've played some good football, but sometimes we've not got the result.

"But as always, the most important thing is getting the three points.
