Marco Asensio gives "short" verdict on Real Madrid target Mohamed Salah

Real Madrid winger Marco Asenjo has claimed that Mohamed Salah is 'one of the best' players in the world amid rumours linking him with a switch to the Spanish capital.

He told Egyptian outlet Dostor : "Mohamed Salah is one of the best players in the world. He was at the forefront of football for many years, he is in a wonderful club like Liverpool, who fought and competed in great battles to win great titles over many years.

"Salah, in short, is a player with a special and great talent and a very good left foot that he plays with distinction, it is always a pleasure to watch any game he plays in."
