Marc Jurado compares Facundo Pellistri to ex-Manchester United star after Athletic Bilbao goal

Youngster Marc Jurado likened Facundo Pellistri to Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Manchester United winger scored a last-gasp equaliser in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

United, who played a total of eight friendlies over the summer, looked set to bring their pre-season campaign to an end with a defeat following Nico Williams' first-half effort. However, Pellistri saved the day with virtually the last kick of the game to bring them level.

The Uruguayan, who could still head out on loan ahead of the transfer window closing on September 1, connected superbly with Harry Maguire's knockdown to turn the ball home. The England defender rose highest inside the penalty area to meet Aaron Wan-Bissaka's high cross and nodded the ball down for Pellistri to score.

It was a smart finish from the former Penarol youngster. He had to adjust his body to make the perfect contact.

Following the contest, which marked United's only draw during their pre-season campaign, Pellistri took to Instagram, uploading a picture alongside the caption: "Feeling good. Great team spirit."

As is often the case when any United player takes to social media, responses and comments poured in from supporters and teammates. Right-back Jurado was among those to comment and the Spaniard, who started the Under-21s' 4-0 win over Chester on Monday night, made the point he was trying to make very clear.
