Liverpool have made a major move by signing Darwin Nunez for a club-record fee from Benfica.

The highly-rated forward was on the radar of several clubs but the Reds have won the race after shelling out over £80m to sign the Uruguayan, who is confident he will be a great fit at Merseyside. His arrival does cast further doubt over Sadio Mane's future.

The winger has been the subject of two bids from Bayern Munich, both of which have been rejected, but the Senegal man himself is open to an exit after six years at Anfield with competition for places in the final third continuing to increase. We bring you all the latest rumours from Merseyside.

Nunez is confident he's joined a side that will compliment him after completing a club-record move to Liverpool. The Reds have captured the highly-rated Uruguayan, who scored over 30 goals for Benfica last term, and will part with a fee that exceeds the £75m they paid for Virgil van Dijk back in 2018.
