Manchester United Women vs Man City Women live team news and score updates from WSL derby

It might be pouring down and freezing in Manchester but Manchester United Women will be aiming to bring the heat when they take on Manchester City Women on Sunday afternoon.

With the men's senior team not in action in the middle of the international break, the first Women's Manchester derby of the season will take place at Old Trafford. Marc Skinner's side are currently faring better than their neighbours in the opening stages of the WSL.

United sit in third place on 12 points while City have 10 to their name and are bang in mid-table at sixth spot. : “They [the players] understand the magnitude of the game but also what I love about this team is that now, it's not become a big moment," Skinner said.

“Two years ago for sure it would’ve been almost a distraction, actually at this point in time it's about focus and getting down to business, because they know if they don't go on that pitch and perform then it's not worth it for us. But actually, when we perform we can beat anybody. We know that, regardless of how good Manchester City are, we know we can beat anybody."
