Manchester United vs Omonia Nicosia LIVE Europa League updates, TV channel and Ronaldo latest

Manchester United are set to play Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

United defeated Omonia 3-2 in Cyprus last week and the fixture was far from straightforward, despite Erik ten Hag's side being heavy favourites entering the contest. Omonia took an early lead in the game and United were forced to respond to that setback.

Marcus Rashford scored two goals and Anthony Martial also got on the scoresheet, but the latter won't be available for the reverse leg at Old Trafford as he sustained a hip injury in the pre-match warm-up at Goodison Park at the weekend.

When asked about possible squad rotation for Thursday's match against Omonia, Ten Hag said at his press conference: "All out for the victory, the first game is the most important, It's Europe, it's tough, we want to be No.1 in the group."

United are currently three points behind Real Sociedad in Group E and supporters expect a win tonight.

Anthony Martial did not train on Wednesday ahead of United's match against Omonia in the Europa League.

Martial sustained a hip injury in the pre-match warm-up at Goodison Park at the weekend he was forced to leave the pitch in the first half of that game. Martial will not be available for Omonia and a late decision will be made on his fitness for Newcastle.

"Not today [Martial training], we will see how it develops for Sunday," Ten Hag said at his press conference at Carrington on Wednesday. "Harry [Maguire] is out. And longer-term Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka."
