Manchester United transfer news LIVE Martial and Ronaldo latest plus Newcastle team news

Manchester United have one more day to prepare before they take on Newcastle United on Sunday.

United returned to winning ways last weekend with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Everton thanks to goals from Antony and Cristiano Ronaldo. The momentum isn't quite what it could have been though as it took Erik ten Hag's side 93 minutes to finally break down Omonia Nicosia at Old Trafford in the Europa League on Thursday.

Scott McTominay grabbed the goal to save United's blushes and now they welcome an in-form Newcastle to Manchester.

The good news for United is that Anthony Martial could return for the match.

Midfielder McTominay struck his first goal of the campaign and also became the first non-forward in the United squad to get on the scoresheet this term.
