Manchester United face Newcastle tonight as they look to climb up to fifth in the Premier League table. The Reds suffered just their second defeat since September at the weekend as they lost 2-1 to Aston Villa.

Newcastle have beaten United in five of their last six meetings and have European aspirations of their own this season.

Casemiro will return from suspension having missed the defeat to Villa after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season. Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo will both miss tonight's game, as will Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire.

Eddie Howe's side have had a rollercoaster season but just one defeat in their last seven games has seen them steady the ship - although that defeat was against fierce rivals Sunderland.

Amorim confirmed on Christmas Eve that Fernandes and Mainoo will be unavailable for the game against Newcastle.
