Manchester United U21s vs Tottenham LIVE Premier League 2 updates, team news and Kobbie Mainoo latest
Manchester United's Under-21s take on Tottenham at Leigh Sports Village in the Premier League 2 on Friday night.
After going eight games undefeated, a run stretching across December, January and February, the U21s are winless in five matches and they head into Friday's game following back-to-back losses against Leicester and Brighton.
The youngsters have just two games remaining this term and they play both of those fixtures at Leigh Sports Village. Tonight's match against Tottenham is the penultimate clash of the campaign and an opportunity to regain the winning thread.
Regarding team news, it's understood Kobbie Mainoo is unlikely to be involved in either of those remaining games, but it's possible he could return to a first-team squad before the end of the campaign.
The highly regarded midfielder has not been part of training at Carrington this week and he’s also been absent from the Under-21s’ last four matches, but sources have described his injury as something ‘not particularly serious’.
