Manchester United U19s vs Galatasaray LIVE early team news, UEFA Youth League updates and prediction

Manchester United Under-19s will take on Galatasaray at Leigh Sports Village on Tuesday afternoon.

The tournament mirrors the senior Champions League group stages, which means Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and F.C. Copenhagen are in the the U19s group, with fixtures also being played on the same day as the first-team's.

The youngsters were defeated 2-0 by Bayern Munich two weeks ago and Travis Binnion's side will be hoping for a better result against Galatasaray when the two sides clash in Leigh later today for a 2pm kick-off.

UEFA Youth League rules state players born on or after 1 January 2005 are eligible to take part but up to five players born a year earlier can be named in an initial 40-man squad if they meet certain criteria about length of time spent at the club.

The eight group winners qualify directly for the last-16 stage, with the runners-up going into the play-offs, meeting teams from the domestic champions path.

United's U19s were knocked out by Borussia Dortmund in the 2021/22 competition.
