Manchester United transfer news RECAP 'interest' in Ronaldo and Man Utd vs Omonia reaction

Manchester United fans may have been hoping for a new striker in January but Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford showed against Omonia why they need not worry.

They dug United out of a sticky situation in Cyprus, their goals helping the visitors to overturn a 1-0 deficit at the break to see them run out 3-2 victors. Rashford is now on five for the season while Martial found the net in Europe for the first time this campaign thanks to Rashford's assist.

It wasn't a great night for Cristiano Ronaldo. He had a number of chances to net his 700th career goal but failed to convert despite looking determined to score after being left on the bench against Manchester City on Sunday.

His future at the club still remains unclear with unsurprising rumours of a January exit already starting to stir. He has scored just once this season, despite starting all three Europa League games.

Today's big talking point: should Ronaldo start against Everton? Have your say here.
