Manchester United transfer news: Pochettino could sign Harry Kane if he replaces Rangnick
Transfer insider Dean Jones reckons that Mauricio Pochettino will try and sign Harry Kane if he becomes the new Manchester United boss.
Pochettino is amongst the favourites to replace Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season, and Jones expects him to try and reunite with Kane at Old Trafford.
With Rangnick only appointed on a six-month contract, the Red Devils have been lining up a replacement for the German from pretty much the moment he replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November.
According to reports, some of United’s key players are desperate for Pochettino to join. The ex-Tottenham boss is currently managing PSG, but there’s an expectation that he could be sacked unless he leads the French giants to a first ever Champions League crown.
His PSG side did squeeze past Real Madrid in their pursuit of a first ever European title for 20 years, but Pochettino’s time in France has been far from plain-sailing.
Meanwhile, his former striker, Kane, is also having doubts over his future. The England captain has two-and-a-half years left on his Tottenham contract, but he’s set to decide his next step at the end of the campaign, with his situation hanging in the balance.
The £90m-rated ace’s future could depend on how heavily Antonio Conte is backed this summer, with the 28-year-old not currently interested in extending his stay with his boyhood club at this moment.
When asked whether he believes the Argentine will push for a reunion with Kane at Old Trafford, Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I’d find it hard to believe he wouldn’t.”

As mentioned above, Kane’s future could rest on what happens with Conte and how Tottenham fare in the summer window.
But if Pochettino does
