Manchester United transfer news LIVE Ten Hag and Pochettino latest, Rudiger 'turns down' move

Manchester United get some rare time off as we move into the international break, but there's still plenty of talk surrounding the club.

The managerial situation took another turn this week as it emerged that Erik ten Hag is now United's preferred candidate to become the new permanent boss this summer.

No plans have yet been finalised, with Mauricio Pochettino still in the running, while United have not ruled out making an approach for Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.

All three managers have discussed their futures over the past few days, with United's efforts to make an appointment before the end of the season seemingly stepping up a gear.

Le Gazzetta dello Sport (via the Daily Mail) claim Rudiger has agreed a deal worth £5.4million over four years with Juventus, with the player said to prefer a move to Italy.
