Manchester United transfer news LIVE Sir Jim Ratcliffe takeover bid updates plus Rashford latest

It's set to be a significant day in the race to buy Manchester United.

It's reported the club has set a deadline of Wednesday night for interested parties to submit their second bids to purchase the club from the Glazer family. Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and INEOS founder and chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe are front runners battling to buy the club.

"Our interest in that club would be purely in winning things."

Meanwhile, United's Europa League quarter-final opponents Sevilla have hired Jose Luis Mendilibar as manager after sacking Jorge Sampaoli.
