Manchester United transfer news LIVE plus build-up to FA Cup semi-final vs Brighton

Manchester United now know they will set up a Manchester derby should they beat Brighton in this afternoon's FA Cup semi-final (4.30pm kick-off).

The Reds are looking to bounce back from Thursday's dismal 3-0 defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League that ended their cup treble hopes.

Brighton will be no easy test, with the south coast outfit coming into the match having lost just one game in their last nine outings. Both clubs are set to be without key players, including Lisandro Martinez for United and likely Evan Ferguson for the Seagulls.

Meanwhile, David de Gea's future at United is being debated among fans after his two howlers on Thursday. He is due to sign a reduced-terms renewal although Erik ten Hag may spy a No.1 competitor this summer.

TODAY'S BIG TALKING POINT: What lineup do you want Erik ten Hag to name vs Brighton? Have your say by c licking here.

"I’ve played games against United multiple times now, and it’s now not as weird as it once was.

"It was worse when I went to Old Trafford. You go there into the away dressing room and you’re warming up on a different side of the pitch, and walking out on the other side.

"It’s just little weird things like that, because you’re so used to going to a certain place. And early on I was playing against players I’ve been with previously."

United are set to be without a number of players against Brighton.

Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay are major doubts while Lisandro Martinez's season is over following his metatarsal injury.

However, Bruno Fernandes is back into the fold after missing Thursday's defeat to Sevilla through suspension.
