Manchester United transfer news live Man Utd vs Aston Villa reaction plus Rasmus Hojlund latest

Manchester United came from behind to stun Aston Villa at Old Trafford last night. Unai Emery's in-form side boasted a two-goal advantage at the break but Erik ten Hag's troops rallied to earn a much-needed win.

The victory eased the pressure on Ten Hag after four without a win or a goal. United are now aiming to capitalise on the victory - which also saw Rasmus Hojlund bag his first Premier League goal - against Nottingham Forest this weekend.

On the transfer front, reports are claiming Johan Bakayoko is the winger Ten Hag wants to replace Antony. The PSV Eindhoven wideman has 11 goal contributions in 16 games, playing a vital role in his club's fine league record this season.

He is valued at around £40million - the same price as Joshua Zirkzee, another rumoured United target. The Dutchman has netted seven times for Bologna and, at 22, could provide long-term competition for Hojlund up front.

Striker Rasmus Hojlund is looking to build on his match-winning strike in last night's 3-2 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

The Dane finally ended his wait for his first Premier League goal, putting United 3-2 up to complete an impressive comeback. Visibly delighted to get off the mark in the league, Hojlund is now hungry for more.

He told Prime Video:

Like the manager said, I've scored a couple in the Champions League, but of course, it's been a while in the Premier League now so I'm happy to get the first one and hopefully I can build on that. "
