Manchester United transfer news LIVE Antony updates and Frenkie de Jong latest
Manchester United will be continuing to look for their first signing of the summer today.
United's transfer window has started slowly but they're believed to be trying to close in on a couple of signings. Reports have suggested that United officials have travelled to Amsterdam to attempt to bring Antony to Old Trafford.
Antony was one of Erik ten Hag's trusted players at Ajax last season having scored 12 goals and notched 10 assists in just 32 appearances. The Brazilian has already hinted that he would be open to a reunion with Ten Hag this summer.
Meanwhile, United are preparing to submit an improved offer to Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong. The Dutch midfielder is United's top priority in the summer window.
Another of Ten Hag's favoured players, De Jong played under the United boss in Amsterdam before making the move to Spain. Should they sign De Jong, United would be one step closer to fixing their midfield issues.

Manchester United are expected to formally submit an improved bid to Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong imminently.
United made an opening offer of €60million (£51.64m) including add-ons that was rejected by Barca, who are unwilling to suffer a loss on a player they signed for £65m three years ago.
Barcelona privately concede they cannot obtain the outlandish €100m Spanish outlets have quoted as their valuation of De Jong, 25, when they are prepared to sell him. Barca are believed to want a guaranteed €75m (£64.55m), with add-ons to ensure De Jong's overall fee surpasses what they paid Ajax to sign him.
