Rasmus Hojlund has completed his Manchester United medical ahead of finalising his move to Old Trafford.

United have agreed to pay an initial £64m to Atalanta for the Danish starlet which could rise as high as £72million if performance and success-related bonuses are met.

The announcement of the signing could be delayed until the weekend, however. Hojlund arrived later than planned on Tuesday and United's schedule surrounding the signing has been pushed back as a result.

Hojlund was due to meet some supporters and conduct activities around his signing on Thursday but that was cancelled as focus turned to his medical. The deal is not remotely in jeopardy and United are now looking at a possible weekend announcement around the home friendly against Lens at 12:45pm on Saturday.

United have suffered a blow elsewhere after it was announced Amad will miss the start of the season with a knee injury he suffered in pre-season.
