Erik ten Hag's side raced into an early lead when Jadon Sancho found the bottom corner with a fine finish after just seven minutes. United dominated the first half and deservedly doubled their lead as Marcus Rashford fired home.

However, United lost all control of the match in the second half and allowed Spurs back in. Pedro Porro pulled one back and then United missed the chance to restore the two-goal advantage as Bruno Fernandes hit the crossbar from close range.

Son Heung-min turned in Harry Kane's great pass for the equaliser and Spurs then missed a few great chances to win the match as United held on. Next up is in-form Aston Villa at the weekend.
