Manchester United told price tag for Russian 'wonderkid' they have scouted

Manchester United would have to make a bid in the region of €30million if they wanted to sign Sergey Pinyaev in the future.

Pinyaev, 18, was born in November 2004 and he's long been considered one of Russia's most exciting youth prospects. United have followed his progress over the years and it's understood the winger had trials at the club prior to the pandemic.

The youngster spent a few weeks in Manchester during that trial period and he spent time meeting staff at United.

Pinyaev has remained on United's radar since that trial period, but he recently signed for Lokomotiv Moscow from KS Samara, where his former manager had confirmed there'd been active interest from Old Trafford in his signature.

Despite only recently moving to a new club, the player has continued to be linked with a move away and Lokomotiv Moscow's sporting director was asked on Tuesday what kind of offer would be considered for Pinyaev.

“In order for the offer to be considered, a super sum must be offered that we cannot refuse. €30million," he told Sport24.

The obvious stumbling block concerning any interest from United is Pinyaev can currently only transfer to other clubs in his homeland, due to the ongoing war with Ukraine which has seen Russian teams banned from European competition.

Any move for Pinyaev to Western Europe in the future could only happen if the war between Russia and Ukraine ended.

Although United have no shortage of players on the left-wing, Pinyaev has also played on the right.
