Manchester United told lack of match-winners will decide top four race vs Arsenal and Tottenham

Manchester United are lacking match-winners in comparison to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in their quest to secure a top-four finish this season.

That is according to former United defender Paul Parker, who claims his old club has not got an individual who "can go out and win them the game." As the season prepares to enter its final sprint to the finish line this coming weekend, United are sixth in the table, four points behind Arsenal in fourth.

United won their last Premier League game prior to the international break, beating Spurs 3-2, courtesy of a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick, and will be looking to pick up where they left off against Leicester City on Saturday. Despite not being the favourites to secure the final Champions League berth, United have plenty of talent at their disposal to keep them challenging for fourth.

However, former right-back Parker — who played for the club between 1991 and 1996 — believes United are lacking match-winners to get the job done. He has also suggested that it is an issue that has troubled United since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement eight years ago.

"United haven't got the individuals like we talk about United many years ago," Parker told OddsNinja. "They definitely haven't got it.

"You could say Arsenal have got their individuals, Tottenham definitely have. Manchester United definitely haven't got that individual, you say, who can go out and win them the game.
