Manchester United to play Aviva Stadium friendly against Athletic Bilbao
Manchester United will play Athletic Bilbao in a pre-season friendly at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin this August.
Erik ten hag's men will come to Ireland to face the La Liga side on Sunday 6 August, six days before the Premier League season kicks off.
United last played in Ireland back in 2017, when they beat Sampdoria 2-1 at a sold-out Lansdowne Road.
Athletic Bilbao were also in Dublin that summer; three days after the United-Sampdoria match, they played Liverpool at the Aviva, where they lost 3-1.
United start their pre-seaon in Oslo, where they will play Leeds United on 12 July. They take on Lyon in Edinburgh seven days after that and then head for a tour of the USA, facing Arsenal in New York on 23 July, Real Madrid in Houston on 26 July, and Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas on 30 July.
