Manchester United takeover news LIVE Sheikh Jassim 'edges ahead in Man Utd race'

The Manchester United takeover process rumbles on, over seven months after the club was put up for sale.

The Glazers announced they would be exploring 'strategic alternatives' for investment late last year, which paved the way for a lengthy bidding process. The two frontrunners remain Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
