Manchester United takeover news live Man Utd chief set to leave plus Onana injury update

Manchester United may soon have a number of new faces in the boardroom as the club looks for fresh direction.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to walk through the Old Trafford doors and he could bring in a number of allies with him. Richard Arnold has already announced his scheduled exit as club CEO with names already linked to the position.

The Manchester Evening News understands that football director John Murtough is set to be shown the door too. Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag will be concentrating on some huge upcoming games on the pitch.

Points-docked Everton are up next away from home before a must-win Champions League tie against Galatasaray in Turkey. A trip to Newcastle is then on the agenda with Chelsea, Liverpool and Bayern Munich before Christmas.

United have a concerning injury list too, with Cameroon giving a recent update on Andre Onana’s issue.

Marcus Rashford came on as a late substitute in England's 1-1 Euro 2024 qualfiying draw with North Macedonia tonight.

The United attacker had been taken off in Friday's win over Malta after a collisiion, sparking fears over his fitness ahead of the return of club football next weekend.

However, Rashford came on six minutes from time and seemed to be moving freely.

The Cameroonian Football Federation has confirmed that Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana will miss today's World Cup qualifier against Libya through injury.

The goalkeeper, who joined United from Italian outfit Inter Milan in the summer, was forced off in the latter stages of Friday's 3-0 win over Mauritius.

He was withdrawn after 81 minutes with an unspecified injury and was replaced by Fabrice Ondoa.
