Manchester United takeover latest as Sheikh Jassim bid remains on table
Manchester United's continuing takeover process is now nearly a year in and still no further on than when the club's first strategic review was announced last November.
Supporters are increasingly annoyed at the Glazer's reluctance to sell the club, especially given the widespread interest from both Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani. With no preferred bidder or any recent update to suggest a sale is moving in the right direction, United are also struggling on the pitch, after suffering defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The MEN reported on Wednesday that Sheikh Jassim's bid of around $5 billion for 100% control of the club still stands, as he awaits a response from the Raine Group.
Sheikh Jassim's first proposal was submitted on February 17 and sources involved in the pitch maintain it represents "the best solution for the club, fans and local community".
Joel and Avram Glazer's opposition to selling United is believed to have intensified as they feel the £6bn valuation could rocket to £10bn in the near future, given the extreme profile now seen over in the Middle East and in particular with wealth involved in Saudi Arabia.
According to Sky News, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is considering a minority stake bid of 25% of the Glazers family shares in the club, with no indication still as to which party is preferred.
