Manchester United takeover latest as Glazers accused of making Erik ten Hag situation 'difficult'

Manchester United supporters are still waiting for a resolution to the takeover saga.

The Glazers announced they had put the club on the market back in November of last year. Since then, there have been two leading candidates in the race to buy the Old Trafford side.

Qatari billionaire, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, has lodged a bid which would see him buy 100 per cent of the club and the Glazers depart. Meanwhile, INEOS chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe has put a 60 per cent offer on the table, which keeps the door open for the Americans to remain.

As the process keeps rumbling on, MEN Sport looks at the latest takeover headlines.

Louis Saha believes Erik ten Hag can be successful at Manchester United even if the Glazer family remain at Old Trafford as he slammed the current owners over the protracted takeover process.

The former Reds striker has slammed the lack of communication over the takeover and the drawn out timescale. United's current owners announced they were exploring the prospect of selling the club last November. Since then, there has been very next to no communication from the Glazer family as to how the sale is progressing in terms of updates.

The uncertainty is not helping matters on the pitch and though former United striker Saha believes Ten Hag can be successful at United should the Glazers remain, he is angry at the process. The Frenchman explained that he believes the Glazers' lack of transparency is 'playing against the club'.
