Manchester United takeover could reignite Jude Bellingham interest and other transfer rumours

Manchester United could become one of the big players in the race for Jude Bellingham if a takeover goes through before the summer, according to reports.

Bellingham, who is still just 19-years-old, looks set to become one of the most in-demand players in the world, should he decide to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season as is widely expected. The teenager's form for club and country has attracted interest form across the continent, with long-time admirers Liverpool and Real Madrid set to face competition from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.

And now The Athletic report that United could reignite their interest in the England international, should a successful takeover of the club generate funds for a big-spending summer. United have received two formal bids from Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and INEOS owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Having either at the helm of the club could mean huge investment come summer, with Bellingham much-admired in M16 as he is across Europe. The midfielder came to Carrington back in 2020 as United tried to court him from Birmingham City, the then-16-year-old being met by a number of dignitaries but eventually deciding on Dortmund.

Elsewhere, Italian outlet Corriero dello Sport report that United have joined the race to sign Napoli defender Kim Min-jae.

The 26-year-old centre-back has been outstanding this season as Napoli chase a famous Scudetto, featuring in 22 of their 23 games as they sit 15 points clear at the top of Serie A. Luciano Spalletti's side are also outside runners to go deep into the Champions League, having topped their group.
