Manchester United Supporters' Trust respond to 'depressing' Erik ten Hag sacking

The Manchester United Supporters' Trust believe Erik ten Hag's departure represents another 'depressing milestone' since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013.

United confirmed Ten Hag had been sacked just before midday on Monday, which meant the 2-1 defeat to West Ham on Sunday afternoon was the Dutchman's last game in charge. Ruud van Nistelrooy will take over on an interim basis until a permanent successor can be appointed. Ten Hag became the fifth permanent manager to be sacked at United in the last 11 years and joins the list of coaches who failed to deliver the first league title of the post-Ferguson era.
