Manchester United still exploring midfield targets ahead of transfer deadline
Manchester United have not ended their interest in signing a second midfielder as the transfer deadline looms.
United are still looking at options to bolster their midfield, especially as new signing Mason Mount is out until next month with a muscular injury.
Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich has been floated as a possible option while he continues to warm the bench for the Bundesliga champions.
Gravenberch, 21, has started six times since he opted to join Bayern over United last summer. The Netherlands international was nurtured by United manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax.

Sofyan Amrabat was omitted from the Fiorentina squad for their 2-2 draw with Lecce on Sunday amid the possibility he could leave and, while United have monitored him, they expect Amrabat to join another club if he does leave.
United have constantly stressed their interest in Amrabat has been overstated in the Italian media and fuelled by his agent Mahmoud El Boustati.
Liverpool were linked with Amrabat earlier this month after Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia rejected them in favour of joining Chelsea but the club clarified they would not move for the Morocco international.
