Manchester United star's Barcelona display earns seal of approval from striker duo

Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia earned plenty of praise for his performance in the 2-2 draw at Barcelona.

The young Dutchman was dropped in at left back for the Europa League play-off first leg, following Erik ten Hag's decision to have Luke Shaw replace the suspended Lisandro Martinez at centre back. Malacia was handed the unenviable task of keeping an electric Raphinha at bay and held his own under tough circumstances. It was another impressive showing from the 23-year-old who won more tackles than anyone else on the pitch as he continues to find his feet in United red.
