Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has already responded to Paulo Dybala 'hate' claims

Cristiano Ronaldo has already provided a classy response to former Juventus teammate Paulo Dybala's revelation that the Manchester United striker is 'hated' in Argentina.

Regarded as one of the best players in history, Ronaldo won three Premier League crowns during his first memorable spell at Old Trafford, returning to the club in a sensational move last summer. He also won the 2008 Champions League and the first of five Ballon d'Or awards in Manchester before taking his dazzling career to even greater heights at Spanish giants Real Madrid.

That switch came in 2009 and saw him forge a memorable rivalry with Argentina forward Lionel Messi. Naturally, it was their elite competition which sparked hate for Ronaldo in Argentina, and Dybala has outlined the chat he had with the United superstar about the issue.

The pair were teammates for three years at Juventus between 2018 and 2021. It was during that time that Dybala changed his opinion on Ronaldo and the two have been tentatively linked with a reunion this summer.

Speaking about Ronaldo in 2020 to the Argentina national team website, Dybala said: "I said to him, 'Cristiano, in Argentina, we hate you a bit because of your figure, because of how you are, of how you walk. The truth is, you've surprised me because I've found you to be different'."

Outlining what Ronaldo said in response to him, Dybala added: "He laughed because he said; 'I know that's the way it is, but I know how I am, I'm used to being criticised for that'."
