Cristiano Ronaldo receives message from Snoop Dogg after Man United striker's classy gesture

American rapper Snoop Dogg has sent a video message to Cristiano Ronaldo after the Manchester United forward gifted him one of his famous number 7 shirts. This season, Ronaldo has been a shining light at Old Trafford with 24 goals in all competitions.

While United fans have had little to shout about this season - with their side failing to grab a spot in the Champions League - the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has proven there is still plenty left in the tank at 37. Ronaldo is now gearing up to begin life under newly-appointed manager Erik ten Hag.

Snoop Dogg is renowned for his love of ice hockey and other American sports, and the 50-year-old can often be spotted on Twitter and Instagram in various iconic shirts. In the past, he has performed songs on stage in a United shirt, and so he was understandably overjoyed to receive a United jersey from Ronaldo.

Snoop Dogg thanked the United ace for the shirt, saying: "Ronaldo the great. This is big Snoop Dogg. On behalf of the fans, I would like to thank you for sending me this jersey, man. I'm a big fan and appreciate the love. Peace."

A follow-up post from the American rapper said: "Just supporting my guy @cristiano."
