Manchester United star Anthony Elanga sets target for next season

Anthony Elanga is aiming to get even better in the forthcoming season and reach 'that next level.'

Elanga has been the breakout youngster of the season for United after impressing interim boss Ralf Rangnick and earning a regular spot in the starting XI. In a season that has been rather bleak without much to celebrate, the performances of the 20-year-old have been a bright spot in an otherwise gloomy year.

The Swede's energy and tenacity have been praised but his attacking output could be worked on, with three goals and two assists in 25 appearances. Improving those numbers will likely be a prime target as he looks to get even better next season.

"Playing 25 games for the first team and making my international debut, I've personally learnt a huge amount," Elanga told Sky Sports. "Despite what's happened this season, I still feel I've learnt a lot and I'm ready to take my game to the next level next season.

"I feel like I'm ready to go to the next level. I aim to get better every single day because that's my mindset. I know I can always get better and I've got wonderful players, good staff and good people around me to help me reach that next level."

Elanga has also assessed the current campaign and explained what United want to do in the two games that remain. He added: "Sometimes things don't go our way.

"All the best teams go through spells like this. It's all about looking back at this at the end of the season and seeing what we can do better."

"We still have two games left and it's about finishing the season as strongly as possible, We just have to regroup and start the new season firing."
