Manchester United 'set' Marcus Rashford price-tag and more transfer rumours

Manchester United will reportedly place a whopping £120million price-tag on Marcus Rashford this summer, with the England international out of contract next year.

According to The Daily Star, the Reds will demand a hefty fee for the 25-year-old, should they be forced to sell him at the end of the season. The United ace has been in prolific form this campaign, having registered 24 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions. However, he only has 16 months left on his current contract after the club triggered a one-year option to stop him becoming a free agent in June of this year.

The report states that Rashford - who scored twice in Erik ten Hag's side's victory over Leicester City on Sunday - will be a target for several clubs around the globe if he does not sign a new deal at Old Trafford. It is thought that Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid would be interested in a move for the forward.

It adds that, during the World Cup in Qatar, United valued Rashford at around £80m. However, with the player having scored 16 times in 17 matches since the tournament, the club now believe that the forward is worth £120m - even with only 12 months to run on his existing £200,000-a-week contract.

Elsewhere, The Sun have reported that United are looking at Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier as a long-term replacement for current first-choice David de Gea.

The report claims that the Reds are willing to offer the Spanish shot-stopper a new deal worth £250,000-a-week, but are not prepared to renew his current £375,000-a-week contract.
