Manchester United sent new 'bid' for Alejandro Garnacho as Chelsea target 'agrees' transfer

Fortunately for Amorim, there's still time to strengthen his squad before the January transfer window slams shut. So, with that being said, the Manchester Evening News has rounded up the latest United news and transfer gossip.
According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Napoli have submitted a second and improved bid for Alejandro Garnacho. The report states that Antonio Conte's side had previously offered United £40m for the 20-year-old winger, and now they're prepared to pay £46.5m (€55m).
It's said that Garnacho, who has also been linked with a move to Chelsea, has already agreed personal terms with Napoli; a five-year deal worth £2.5m (€3m). However, Tuttosport adds that United are holding out for £60m and they wont let the Argentine leave for anything less.
The MEN says: "If I were Manchester United, I would negotiate a sell-on fee – or maybe even a buy-back clause – and accept Napoli's bid. That's a great offer. Unless Alejandro Garnacho pulls his finger out and picks up his performances, I can't see the Red Devils getting much more than that in the future."
