Manchester United's next six fixtures after Europa League defeat at Sevilla

Manchester United's hopes of European glory were ended by Sevilla as Erik ten Hag's side exited the Europa League at the quarter-finals stage.

The Reds, who drew 2-2 with the La Liga outfit in the first leg at Old Trafford last week, were dominated at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium in the second leg on Thursday night. Ten Hag's men lost 3-0 to the six-time winners as United's hopes of a cup treble this season came crashing down.

Despite the disappointing defeat, United still have a lot to play for this term. They face Premier League rivals Brighton in the FA Cup semi-finals at the weekend, before returning to Premier League action against top-four rivals Tottenham.

As the quest to win the FA Cup and secure Champions League qualification for next season continues to intensify, MEN Sport has taken a close look at United's next six fixtures in all competitions:

Verdict: Having exited the Europa League in underwhelming fashion, Ten Hag and his players will be desperate to return to winning ways in their next match. The clash against Brighton at Wembley will be extremely difficult, but the Reds have now got a point to prove and they will be confident about progressing to the final. Regardless of the result, they will have to quickly switch their focus back to the Premier League after Sunday's game.

Although Spurs are not in great form, they are still chasing a Champions League spot and will probably need to beat United. It is a similar situation for Aston Villa, who are aiming to end the season in a European position. If the Reds can take four points from those two games, that would be a good return.
